Advocacy

I will serve as an advocate for a person with a disability. For example, I will attend staffings, meet with professionals, meet with caregivers, and testify in courts. Prior to serving as an advocate, I must get to know the individual well. To do this, typically I assess the individual. This often takes the form of a functional behavior assessment.
